This suit was filed in the Environment and Land Court on 29/9/2026. It emerged from the pleadings and the materials presented to the court that the suit land was alleged to have been purchased by the plaintiff at Kshs 7,150,000 in June 2026. Consequently, the court directed the plaintiff to attend court and address it on why the dispute should not be handled by a Magistrate Court. 2. Kshs 7,150,000. Counsel has prayed for an order transferring the suit to the Chief Magistrate Court at Meru. 3. In light of the above submissions, and taking into account the fact that this court has original jurisdiction over the dispute and therefore the suit is competent, the suit is hereby transferred to the Chief Magistrate Court at Meru where it shall be assigned to a competent Magistrate Court under the certificate of urgency already on record.
