RESPONDENT (Being an appeal from the judgment of the Environment and Land Court at Meru (Nzili, J.) dated 10h May, 2023 in ELC Case No. 33 of 2019(OS) RULING 1. This an application dated 27th February 2025, brought under Rule 23, Court of Appeal Rules, seeking leave in favour of the Appellant to change his advocates. 2. On the application it is explained in his affidavit that the previous advocates for the Appellant Mr. Geoffrey Gatari Ringera is now deceased. A copy of certificate of death is annexed. He seeks leave to have Mr. Julius Kiogora Arithi, trading as Kiogora Ariithi & Associates take over the conduct of his case. 3. The applicable rule for change of advocates would seem to be Rule 23(1) Court of Appeal Rules. The rule does not seem to require leave. It requires the filing of Notice Of Change Of Advocates.
